As a wedding hair and makeup artist I don’t often get to witness firsthand all the events of your wedding day. So when I got this album back from Brittany Morgan Photo I was stunned with how beautifully Eunice and Adam’s individual styles and traditions came together.
Love is a universal language that transcends cultural boundaries, and when two worlds come together to celebrate it, the result is a breathtaking blend of traditions. Such was the case with Eunice and Adam’s wedding at Azaleana Manor in Orange Park, Florida. This perfect reflection of love’s diversity combined a traditional American wedding ceremony with a vibrant Korean Pyebaek!
The Venue: Azaleana Manor in Orange Park, FL
Overlooking the St Johns River, Azaleana Manor in Orange Park, FL provided the perfect canvas for this fusion of cultures. With the options of indoor and outdoor event spaces and beautiful suits for bride, groom, and guests, getting ready on property is a dream. The moss-covered oaks, waterfront views, and this venue’s historic charm create the perfect scenery for your wedding day memories.
A Day of Cultural Fusion
The wedding commenced with a traditional American ceremony. Eunice wore a sleek updo and clean, dewy makeup that so perfectly complimented the simplicity of her off-shoulder gown. With the sun shining bright, guests witnessed the couple exchanging vows with the calm St Johns River as their backdrop.
The Korean Pyebaek was a fun and heartwarming addition to the celebration. This traditional ceremony symbolizes respect for the elders and the union of families. Dressed in hanboks, the couple paid homage to Eunice’s Korean heritage as they bowed to their parents and shared traditional Korean snacks. The Pyebaek was not only a nod to tradition but also a testament to the couple’s embrace of one another’s individuality.
A Bride of Kindness and Style
Eunice was the epitome of grace and elegance throughout the day, with such a kind-hearted demeanor. Her fashion choices seamlessly blended tradition and trendiness. One of the highlights of the day was the bride’s multiple outfit changes. She started her outdoor ceremony in an understated white gown, changed into a bright red hanbok for the Pyebaek, and then into a flirty little number equipped with gloves, glasses and his & hers Converse’s for the reception. Between the Korean traditions and outfit changes, there were many elements of surprise and excitement throughout the evening.
A Bridal Suite Fit for Royalty
The bride’s journey from preparation to celebration was made even more special by the Manor’s gorgeous bridal suite. Bathed in natural light from a bay window, the suite provided the space to get ready for the day. The oversized bathroom with 3 large vanities offered a luxurious space for friends to prepare, creating a sense of togetherness that only enhanced the experience.
Thoughts from a Hair and Makeup Artist
While I didn’t have the pleasure of seeing everything unfold IRL, it was easy to see that this Florida manor wedding venue would not disappoint. The big, bright bay window was the absolute highlight of MY day, as lighting in historic venues can be scarce. It also provided Eunice some comfort as she was able to see parts of her evening coming together nicely as she sat for her makeup. The spacious master bath with multiple vanities made for a great space for her friends to spread out and get themselves ready. Something that may not be top of mind to most, but makes a huge difference for vendors and guests, unloading and parking were a breeze and BONUS no stairs!
With a harmonious blend of traditions, a bride who exuded kindness and style, and a venue that provided a stunning backdrop for the festivities, the celebration that Brittany’s photos captured was a true masterpiece. I would be thrilled to work in any of the beautiful suites at Azaleana Manor in Orange Park FL, again!
As guests danced under the stars and string lights, it was clear that this day was not just about a union between two individuals but also a celebration of the diverse and beautiful tapestry of love itself.
